[QuickTacBeta] QuickTac 4.0 Beta 1 is ready

Team QuickTac,

Thanks for your patience.  It's been a wild ride of late.

Beta 1 for QuickTac 4.0 for Windows is available now at
http://www.tactileaudio.com/QuickTac.htm

This is a public beta, so be sure to pass word on to anybody whom you think
will be interested in a new tactile graphics program.  During beta 1, we
hope principally to ensure that any remaining issues with embosser driving
are worked out.  I'm certain that there will be some issues.  But I'm also
confident that we'll be able to work through these quickly for the ViewPlus,
Index, and Enabling embosser families.  Adding support for other embossers
entirely will be an interesting project, and one that we'll gladly
undertake, but it is beyond the scope of Beta 1.

Also, please note that Windows 98 and Windows ME are not officially
supported in this release, though we've found that QuickTac 4.0 does run on
these platforms, with some limitations.
