Matt,

You don't appear to be subscribed to the list. So any responses will have
to go directly to you.

I'll respond only to the second query. At the moment, neither QuickTac nor
any Duxbury software processes pictures directly from MS Word documents. (I
do hope to be working on that soon, but haven't anything even in active
development on that front.)

The other questions are probably better answered by experienced users. I
you want my take on those matters, you can re-post or e-mail me directly.

Subject: [QuickTacBeta] Adding Graphics to Braille Materials

Hi, Folks! I am considering using QuickTac to incorporate graphics into our
production capabilities. I have a few questions, as including graphics is
new to me.

1. Our facility uses the Juliet Classic embossers. Do I use QuickTac in
combination with DBT to import the graphic?

2. Can I take a Word doc which has pictures and convert it directly to
braille, and if so, how?

3. How difficult is it to incorporate pictures into a DBT document?

Thanks in advance for your help.--Matthew Chao, Braille Production Shop, Bay
State Correctional center, Norfolk, MA
