Matthew- Incorporating graphics into your braille production shop is a
great idea and definitely should be done. However, even if technically you
can import print pictures directly into graphics software, it is usually
not the thing to do. The print image alone, with all the visual symbols
that help a sighted reader interpret the picture, does not become a
meaningful or understandable graphic for a braille reader. Please, please
don't try to do a straight conversion, , especially in textbooks! Braille
readers need much better graphics. You are welcome to contact me off list
