[QuickTacBeta] Set up

Hello Roxanne,

It does sound like a setup problem.

The fact that you're asking about a pad selection tells me that you're
almost certainly not using the QuickTac beta, but the earlier release:
QikTac 3.x. Do you have a piece of hardware called a TagPad? It's
basically a piece of glass, 8-1/2" by 11", in a metal frame. If you don't
have such a thing, then choose "No TagPad".

If you have a Juliet embosser, then Juliet High Resolution should work fine.
However, I recommend sticking to medium resolution if you plan to put
braille in your graphics. The braille spacing at high resolution doesn't
work out very well.

As to where the embosser is connected, I cannot say. It may help to give
our office a call at 978-692-3000 to get help there. Or you can let me know
whether you've had any luck getting output (either graphics or braille text)
embossed on the Juliet from other software. If you have, then we can
presumably look at the other software's configuration to determine how to
set up QuickTac (or QikTac) to connect to the Juliet.

Subject: [QuickTacBeta] Set up

I have an embosser and printer connected to my computer. I was able to
print out a drawing, but not emboss the drawing. Could it be my set up is
wrong?

1) How do I know which pad selection to choose?

2) connected to ?

3)I chose Juliet high resolution - does that matter?

4) do I connect to LPT1, 2, or 3?

Thanks,
Roxanne
